Ingredients for soya chunks curry recipe:


Soya chunks-100 gm

Ginger-1 inch

Garlic-8 to 10

Onion(chopped)-2(medium)

Cashew-10 to 12

Tomato(chopped)-2(medium)

Bay leaves-2

Black cardamom-1/2

Mace(javitri)-1/4

Fresh cream-1 tbsp

Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp

Red chilli powder-1 tsp

Cumin powder-1/2 tsp

Coriander powder-1/2 tsp

Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp

Salt to taste

Cooking oil-4 to 5 tbsp

Coriander leaves-1/3 tsp

Method to cook soya chunks curry


Firstly, take a pan and boil 2 glasses of water in it.


Put soya chunks in it and wait for next boil.


Keep the pan aside and take another pan on medium flame.


Put some oil in the pan and let it heat for a minute.


Then add ginger, garlic, onion and saute it for another 2-3 minutes on medium flame.


Put some cashews and tomatoes in it and cook it for next 4-5 minutes on medium flame util tomatoes get soft.


Switch off the gas flame and let it cool down to blend it.


Meanwhile rinse the boiled soya chunks in fresh water and squeeze out the excess water from chunks.


Take another pan and heat some oil in it to stir fry soya chunks.


Now add the soya chunks in the pan and stir fry on medium flame for next 2-3 minutes. You can even serve this soya chunks masala dry as a snack or starter. 


Take a mixed jar and add onion and tomatoes mixer in it. Then blend the mixer to make a smooth paste.


Heat some oil in the same pan and add Bay leaves, Black cardamom, Cumin seeds and Mace(javitri) in it. Sit fry these masalas for few second on medium flame.


Lower down the gas flame, then add tureric powder, red chilli powder and cook it for 30-40 seconds. 


Now add the onion, tomatoes smooth paste in it and give it a good mix.


Add coriander powder, cumin powder and mix everything.


Now cover the pan and cook it on low flame for next 5 minutes.


Add stir fried soya chunks in it and mix it well with the masalas.


Then cover it with a lid and cook it on low flame for next 2 minutes.


Now remove the lid and add 2 glass of water in it. To make it in semi gravy form, add only 1 glass of water.
